Flower seedlings: How to Grow
Easy to grow, cheery seedlings to add to your spring and summer garden. (Available at flower stand)
Snapdragons:
Plant type: annual
height: 40-60cm
site: full sun
days to maturity: 100-110 days
plant spacing: 15cm
Plant your seedlings as soon as all sign of frost has cleared.
Make sure your seedlings are planted into rich composted soil. Doing this will mean you won’t need to use additional fertiliser.
Water seedlings every 2-3 days.
Pinch your snapdragons when they are at about 20cm in height. This means cutting off the stem just above a node. This technique promotes multiple shoots and more blooms.
Harvesting/Vase life:
Harvest when the bottom 2 or 3 flowers are open. Expect a vase life of around 7-10 days
